Many customers are looking for a simple way to manage the migration of document links when migrating Notes applications to SharePoint or Office 365. The Sandbox Safe Link Redirector page offers a relatively simple solution. The redirector page is easy to install and initially redirects users to Lotus Notes, even if the Notes document had been migrated to SharePoint or Office 365. SharePoint or Office 365 users will not actually get redirected to their new migrated documents until the links are finalized. Existing links can be finalized at any time. The solution is easy because the redirector page does not connect to an external Link Tracking database when a link is clicked.
The redirector page appears as below.
After finalization, the links in the migrated documents are updates and the redirector page is no longer needed.
I wrote two documents to assist you with how to implement and configure link tracking with the redirector page. The first document is for SharePoint and the second document is for Office 365.
